Wrap Me Up Part II

Just thought I'd show you how I ended up wrapping my christmas presents...under my eco-friendly 'aussie' christmas tree ;p Excess raffia used to hold up my tree and continue my 'theme'...
I used thick white wrapping paper (from your local newsagent), paperbag brown wrapping paper (from Big W), raffia (from Riot Art & Craft), and wooden letters (from Spotlight).
And a few shots on Christmas Eve when all the presents are wrapped and ready to be torn open in the morning! If only I had got all my shopping and wrapping done earlier, I would have had more time to 'enjoy' my display!! Oh well, there's always next year...!
I added hand-made (white cardboard) gift tags to complete the look...
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years...love Magnolia Gray

I Heart Smiths Beach, Yallingup, WA

I thought I would share a few pics from my recent week-long holiday in Perth. Ok, so I was there to attend my cousin's wedding, but since we were travelling so far for so much $$ we figured we would make it into a holiday and check out more than Perth itself...We decided to head (3 hours drive) south to the famous Margaret River Wine Region to a place called Smiths Beach Resort, Yallingup. So of course, we visited a few wineries...think Vasse Felix, Watershed, Cape Mentelle, Evans & Tate...yum! This is the Watershed Winery...
And again.. This is the gorgeous Smiths Beach, Yallingup, where we stayed...ahhhhh Another beach shot...
And here is the stunning Smiths Beach Resort - I highly recommend it! Especially outside of school holidays/peak times!!
The pool...
Another pool pic...
The world-famous Margaret River River Mouth surfing spot!
This is the National Park just near Smiths Beach...(@ the headland)
And again...
And again - it was so beautiful!!
Aren't you jealous?!?!?

Bring on Summer!!

Who doesn't love Summer? To me, Summer = the beach, lazy afternoons, relaxing, holidays, time spent with family and friends, and of course, Christmas! If you're not already looking forward to the warm weather (which seems to have come a little early this year in QLD!), then these pics should have you geared up for some Summer Lovin'!! How comfy does this hammock look? And the view? Ah bliss...
Why not "Summer-ise" your home? You could always try some Magnolia Gray hand screenprinted cushions :)
Lazy afternoon drinks on the back deck as the sun sets? Yes please!!
You could even give your Christmas Table Setting a Summer theme!!

Wrap Me Up..

I'm one of those people who likes all my presents to be wrapped to a theme, so they look pretty under the tree! Not that I've completed my Christmas shopping yet, but already I'm thinking about how to wrap all my presents! What colours? Ribbon or string? Cards or gift tags? The possibilities are endless...Here are some pics for inspiration for your Christmas wrapping!! Mez xo

Vogue... Mag LOVE

This caught my attention instantly while shopping yesterday. Fresh linen, simple ceramics and a summery blue.
The Nov/ December issue of Vogue Living is now on sale and showcases stunning hand made ceramics and glassware from local artists. The homes within instantly make you feel like creating an open and airy space for entertaining. If only I could have a water view.
Take a little sneak peek at a couple of my favourite shots. Court xo

Summer means Peonies!

If you're like me and have fallen in love with this flower you will share my excitement over its imminent arrival...Summer is fast approaching and with Spring departing this beautiful flower is about to bloom. Courtney xo
