I thought I would share a few pics from my recent week-long holiday in Perth. Ok, so I was there to attend my cousin's wedding, but since we were travelling so far for so much $$ we figured we would make it into a holiday and check out more than Perth itself...We decided to head (3 hours drive) south to the famous Margaret River Wine Region to a place called Smiths Beach Resort, Yallingup. So of course, we visited a few wineries...think Vasse Felix, Watershed, Cape Mentelle, Evans & Tate...yum! This is the Watershed Winery...

Bring on Summer!!
Who doesn't love Summer? To me, Summer = the beach, lazy afternoons, relaxing, holidays, time spent with family and friends, and of course, Christmas! If you're not already looking forward to the warm weather (which seems to have come a little early this year in QLD!), then these pics should have you geared up for some Summer Lovin'!!
How comfy does this hammock look? And the view? Ah bliss...
Wrap Me Up..
I'm one of those people who likes all my presents to be wrapped to a theme, so they look pretty under the tree! Not that I've completed my Christmas shopping yet, but already I'm thinking about how to wrap all my presents! What colours? Ribbon or string? Cards or gift tags? The possibilities are endless...Here are some pics for inspiration for your Christmas wrapping!! Mez xo

Vogue... Mag LOVE
The Nov/ December issue of Vogue Living is now on sale and showcases stunning hand made ceramics and glassware from local artists. The homes within instantly make you feel like creating an open and airy space for entertaining. If only I could have a water view.
Take a little sneak peek at a couple of my favourite shots. Court xo

Furniture Refurb!
I've always liked the idea of furnishing my house with a mix of old and new pieces. In particular, I like the idea of finding old furniture pieces and bringing them back to life/up to date myself.
A few months ago (ok, be honest Merrin, perhaps a year??!) I bought a few pieces to refurb...and they've sat under my house collecting dust ever since!!
Since it is Spring, I've decided to get stuck into the Spring Cleaning (that will be another story!) and get to work on my furniture! I've decided it's all got to go...so I will be selling all pieces once I'm finished (I had to write that here so that I can't go back on my word and keep any of it! My hubby, Matt will be happy!!).
So...I thought I'd let you all see my progress! Here are some cane chairs (pair) that I bought off ebay.

Magnolia Gray Summer Cushions
Digging up Old Bottles
You see a few people decorating with old glass bottles and I absolutely love it! My boyfriend Tim stumbled across a great find at a local junk shop full of big brown medicine bottles recently. After he came home with one I sent him back on a mission to get more...one for mum, one for Merrin and another hmm 3 for me. For $1.50 it would have to be the cheapest vase I now own, and more recently my absolute favourite.
Some bottle inspiration for you all! Court xo

Home Beautiful
I confess that I have an addiction to all home magazines...they always leave me feeling creatively inspired. The latest Home Beautiful (Oct '09) is no exception! One look at the front cover and all I could think about was SUMMER!! Love love love that umbrella and could think of nothing better than lazing on one of those couches by the pool on a Summer afternoon...now if only I had a pool, I could set this up for myself at home :)
This house...I love dark floorboards and white/neutral walls - a great foundation for displaying artworks and textiles - perhaps Magnolia Gray artworks and hand-screenprinted cushions?!?!
